That’s why we’re proud to sponsor the NIC Yorkshire County Tennis Championships, the county’s flagship annual tournament, bringing together Yorkshire’s best junior and adult tennis players across all age groups and categories.”

Taking place at the John Charles Centre for Sport, Leeds, in less than a month’s time, the Championships provide a fantastic opportunity for players of all ages and abilities to compete, develop and celebrate their passion for tennis.

From young players taking their first steps in county competition to experienced adult athletes, the tournament plays a vital role in developing Yorkshire’s next generation of tennis talent and raising standards of performance.

The junior competition offers players the change to compete across consecutive age groups and, alongside the adult championships, this year’s tournament features wheelchair tennis and events for visually impaired players, creating a festival of tennis that encourages participation, resilience and personal development.

It reflects everything a major sports event should be – aspirational and providing a showcase for excellence but, also, inclusive and welcoming, promoting a sense of both community and personal achievement.

Supporting initiatives like this is part of NIC’s wider commitment to excellence and inclusion. We know that sport has the power to build confidence, improve wellbeing, strengthen communities and create opportunities that extend far beyond the court.

We wish every player, volunteer, official and supporter the very best for this year’s Championships. For those not competing, the finals weekend is a great opportunity watch and support fantastic tennis as a spectator.
