NIC FM Services Group was delighted to support Yorkshire County Cricket Club at the recent induction and kit distribution day for the Girls Early Engagement Programme (EEP) and pathways for U10 to U12 players, marking an exciting new chapter for the next generation of young Yorkshire cricketers.
The event officially welcomed the “Class of 26”, bringing together talented young players and their families as they begin their journey within a programme designed to nurture ability, confidence and long-term participation in the game. The Girls Early Engagement Programme has been created to strengthen the pathway for emerging talent, offering structured coaching and development opportunities that help players build strong technical foundations while enjoying the game in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Supported by NIC FM Services Group, the programme focuses on skill development, talent identification and widening access to cricket for girls across the region. By creating opportunities at an early age, the initiative helps remove barriers to participation and encourages more young players to engage with elite-level coaching and competitive pathways.
The induction and kit distribution day gave players their first opportunity to meet coaches, receive programme information and collect their official kit ahead of the season. It also created a sense of excitement and belonging, with every player becoming part of a wider pathway that aims to inspire progress both on and off the field.
Paul Faulkner, Group Marketing Director for NIC, said:
“At NIC, we believe that creating opportunities for young people is one of the most meaningful investments any organisation can make. Supporting the Girls Early Engagement Programme reflects our commitment to helping develop confidence, ambition and talent in the next generation. It is inspiring to see so many young players beginning their journey with such enthusiasm, and we are proud to stand alongside Yorkshire County Cricket Club in helping grow the future of girls’ cricket.”
NIC FM Services Group continues to support initiatives that strengthen communities, encourage participation and open doors for future talent. Through partnerships like this, NIC is proud to contribute to programmes that deliver lasting impact and inspire young people to aim higher.
As the Class of 26 begins its pathway journey, everyone at NIC wishes the players every success for the season ahead.
