NIC FM Services Group recently joined students from the Co-op Academy REACH Programme for an engaging and inspiring team-building event at the iconic Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) in Headingley.

The event brought together students from across the REACH programme to develop essential life and workplace skills through a series of interactive team-building activities. Designed to encourage collaboration, communication, leadership and problem-solving, the sessions challenged students to work together while building confidence and forming new relationships.

As a long-standing supporter of the Co-op Academy REACH Programme, NIC FM Services Group is committed to creating opportunities that help young people develop the skills and aspirations needed for their future careers. By working alongside education and community partners, NIC continues to invest in initiatives that make a meaningful difference to the next generation.

Throughout the day, students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating resilience, creativity and a genuine willingness to support one another. The event also provided an opportunity for industry professionals to share their own experiences and highlight the importance of teamwork in the modern workplace.

Pete Langsdaye, National Operations Director at NIC FM Services Group, said:

“It is always inspiring to spend time with the students involved in the REACH Programme. Their enthusiasm, willingness to learn and ability to work together throughout the day was fantastic to see. Teamwork is one of the most valuable skills anyone can develop, regardless of the career they choose, and events like this help build confidence while showing what can be achieved when people support each other. We are incredibly proud to continue supporting the REACH Programme and helping to create opportunities for young people to realise their potential.”

NIC FM Services Group remains committed to supporting programmes that promote education, inclusion and personal development. Through partnerships such as the Co-op Academy REACH Programme, the business continues to play an active role in helping young people gain valuable experiences that will benefit them both inside and outside the workplace.
